"Salt Water Taffy Trio"

Salt water taffy is synonymous with the Jersey Shore
where it is a traditional summertime treat.
Sold in candy shops on the boardwalk in all New Jersey
shore towns, it got its name in the 1880's when a candy
store was flooded with salt water and the taffy candy
was offered for sale as"salt water taffy".
The name stuck and today it is still marketed under the
name "salt water taffy".

  4. This is a very nice painting. I am very pleased. Reminded me some candy from my childhood. Their packaging was very similar to those with a red edge. they were slightly mint flavor. How can that I can remember when ever I do not know what yesterday for lunch I've made :-))))
