Yesterday I painted along the Delaware River near
Prallsville Mills. It is a beautiful and scenic section of
the river where there are small islands of river rock and
vegetation.
Lori how beautiful!!! This painting draws me right in. I painted a similar one of the Mississippi River in July of 2009. I'll post it right away so you can see how alike they are :)
Hi Lori!! Looks like you've been having a great time too!!! The weather must be nice there in New Jersey. Isn't it wonderful to get out in the outdoors and see the world!!
Bruce, Thank you! There was a interesting confluence of water here running from the mill to the river. Aren't the green wonderful this time of year? If only they would last...
Lovely work, Lori--I am so glad to have found your blog via your comment on Sheila's. This painting conveys both tranquility and movement. Your soft brushwork and subtle, yet light-filled palette are impressive. I have enjoyed browsing all your recent entries.
Very nice place and well done painting! Ciao

ReplyDeleteLovely Lori! I really like that bush on the right, in the water. Nice piece!
