"Yellow Pail"

8"x10" Oil on Canvas - NFS

The weather here is hot and the water has been warm.
I can't remember a summer when  the water got warm
enough to swim so early in the season and is remaining
warm.  I've been making it a point to swim and paint
everyday!

  1. Swimming and painting every day... life can't get much better than that! I admire how you can put a few brush strokes down and perfectly capture the lights and shadows and colors that define the scene. Amazing! It would take me days to achieve the same effect with my pencils.

  3. Love it, Lori. These beach scenes are great. I've been trying to photograph children at the lake and have some good ones I'll be trying to paint soon. Just painted my first impressionistic piece. Hope you'll stop by for a peek and let me know what you think.

  9. Très jolie peinture que celle-ci! j'adore voir évoluer les enfants au bord de l'eau.
    Captivante lumière sur l'enfant...
